Police Log: Three DUI Crashes & More

May 21

DUI Crash

At approximately 10 a.m. police were dispatched to the area of Durham and Wrights roads for the report of a two-vehicle traffic accident. As a result of the investigation, one subject was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

Retail Theft

At approximately 1:45 p.m., police responded to Ulta Beauty for the report of a retail theft that occurred the day prior. The total value of loss was $4,625, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

Retail Theft

At approximately 7 p.m., police responded to a Newtown Township address for the report of a stolen ATV. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

May 23

Theft

Police were contacted by a business within Newtown Township around 2:30 p.m. for the report of a trailer that was stolen over the weekend. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

May 24

DUI Crash

At approximately 5 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of the Newtown Bypass and Buck Road for the report of a two-vehicle traffic accident. As a result of the investigation, one subject was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

DUI Crash

While on routine patrol shortly before 9 p.m., police observed a white-colored SUV traveling at a high rate of speed from the Newtown Bypass onto Swamp Road. The vehicle had extensive front-end damage, and the driver of a Jeep behind it called out that the SUV had just slammed into the back of his car. Police followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in Helen Randle Park. As a result of the investigation, the operator was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
