The Newtown Business Association (NBA), which serves Newtown and the larger Lower Bucks County community, has announced it plans to increase its commitment to supporting nonprofit organizations in 2024.
Building on the success of its half-priced memberships for nonprofits last year, NBA President Dave Marcolla announced a renewed focus.
“NBA is increasing our focus on being a champion for these integral community members,” Marcolla said.
Starting in the new year, the NBA will roll out a revitalized monthly events strategy, developed with input from its members. The events will be branded as Rise and Thrive, Lunch and Learn or Newtown Networking and will rotate between morning, afternoon, and evening slots to maximize participation.
“By changing up the format and time each month, more members will have the opportunity to participate,” Marcolla explained.
The NBA’s board has announced a special initiative for 2024 – spotlighting a different non-profit member each month. These features will come with dedicated fundraising opportunities tied to each event.
Monthly Event Co-Chairs Angelo Louridas and Frank Paul Miranda expressed their enthusiasm.
“This is a great way to showcase the myriad causes we can all locally support right here in our community,” they said.
Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to sign up for NBA’s special non-profit membership at newtownba.org.
