The Council Rock School District announced a two-hour delay in the opening of schools and offices on Wednesday.
In an email to parents on Tuesday evening, district officials said the decision came after consultations with the Bucks County Emergency Management Agency and local authorities.
The district emphasized that the delay is in response to the extremely low temperatures forecasted for the area, which could lead to hazardous driving conditions in the morning.
As a result of the delayed start, the morning session of morning kindergarten is canceled.
