January 12
Burglary
At approximately 4 p.m., police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a burglary. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
January 13
DUI
At approximately 11:45 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Durham Road and South Drive. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of marijuana. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
January 14
DUI
At approximately 12:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Tesla operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Buck Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

At approximately 10 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a BMW operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Lower Silver Lake Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
January 15
DUI
At approximately 1:15 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Buck Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
Theft
Police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence around 12:30 p.m. for the report of a theft. The situation was resolved by the residents.
January 16
Identity Theft
A Newtown Township resident contacted police around 10:30 am to report fraud involving identity theft. The resident was advised to contact his bank, credit card company, and credit bureaus to further monitor her accounts.
January 17
Arrest
At approximately 11:15 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of Swamp Road and the Newtown Bypass for the report of a single-vehicle traffic accident. As a result of the investigation, the operator was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Camden County Sheriff’s Department and transferred without incident.
January 18
Theft
At approximately 12:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
DUI
Police were dispatched to the area of the Newtown Bypass and Woodbourne Road around 11:45 p.m. for the report of a single-vehicle traffic accident. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator refused to submit blood for chemical testing, and charges are pending.
