PennDOT will be paving a section of roadway in Wrightstown and Northampton townships starting next week.

In a statement, PennDOT said they plan to pave Worthington Mill Road between Second Street Pike (Route 232) and Swamp Road.

The work will lead to periodic weekday lane closures from Monday, May 6 through Tuesday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

While the milling and paving are underway, drivers are asked to give extra time and to expect traffic slowdowns.

The work is dependent on the weather each day.

The local paving is part of 200 miles of sate highway PennDOT plans to mill and pave this year in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

PennDOT reopened the new Worthington Mill Road bridge over the Neshaminy Creek last year.
