The area could see a wintry mix as forecasters predict the season’s first dusting of snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Thursday, warning of gusts between 40 to 55 mph.
The winds may cause tree damage and power outages across the region, according to forecasters.
The advisory comes as a cold front moves through the area and brings with it a chance of rain and light snow accumulation of less than an inch.
While less than an inch of snow is expected, the timing could impact Thursday morning’s commute by making slippery conditions possible for drivers.

Thursday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 8am, then a chance of snow showers between 8am and 10am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 38. Windy, with a west wind 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 35. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 23.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 48.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.
