PennDOT crews will be repairing deteriorated pavement in the area, according to officials.

The repairs are necessary due to the high volume of potholes caused by the region’s rapid freeze-thaw cycle where temperatures fluctuate between freezing and mild, PennDOT officials said.

Area drivers can should expect travel restrictions and potential slowdowns near work crews at the following locations:

  • Route 32 (River Road) in Upper Makefield and Lower Makefield townships and Yardley and Morrisville boroughs.
  • Route 413 in Newtown Borough and Buckingham and Wrightstown townships.
  • Woodbourne Road in Middletown and Newtown townships.
  • Stoopville Road in Newtown Township.

The local repairs are some of more than those taking place on 65 state roadways in the Philadelphia region next week.

PennDOT has asked drivers to slow down in work zones and avoid distracted driving to ensure the safety of both motorists and workers.

Drivers can report potholes to PennDOT’s Customer Care Center by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD or visiting customercare.penndot.pa.gov.

Since Jan. 1, PennDOT District 6 has received over 1,700 driver complaints about potholes.
