The annual Newtown Welcome Day, which is also known as the “Street Fair with Flair,” is set to return Sunday, June 8.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The free street festival will take place along Sycamore Street between Durham Road and Jefferson Street in Newtown Borough and Newtown Township.

The Newtown Business Association, which organizes the event, expects more than 5,000 visitors.

This year’s Welcome Day will feature over 150 local businesses, artisans, and organizations. A highlight will be the 10 food trucks, double the number from last year, offering a variety of culinary options, organizers said.

The “Street Fair with Flair” will also include live music from multiple performance stages showcasing local bands.

Families can enjoy children’s activities, interactive exhibits and community performances.

The event, which is presented by Capital Health, is open to the public and rain or shine.
