The Council Rock School District has officially launched full-day kindergarten across all elementary schools.
Superintendent Dr. Andrew Sanko highlighted the rollout during a September board meeting. He described it as one of the most significant accomplishments of the new school year.
The initiative, which was led by Director of Elementary Education Nicole Crawford, was praised for the planning and execution of the program.
The transition to full-day kindergarten has already shown results, according to Sanko.
Students are adapting well to the extended schedule, engaging in new experiences such as STEAM specials, navigating the cafeteria environment, and adjusting to the rhythm of a full school day, Sanko said.
Sanko credited the success to the collaborative efforts of teachers, support staff, and administrators, all of those who contributed.
