The owner of a public adjusting firm has been hit with multiple charges after investigators say he misappropriated approximately $140,000 in insurance payouts.
Greg A. Micucci, 61, of Bristol Township, was charged Wednesday with nine counts each of insurance fraud, theft by deception, deceitful business practices, and misappropriation of moneys.
Under Pennsylvania law, the deceptive business practices charges include enhancements because two of the victims were senior citizens, aged 64 and 81, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said.
The charges come after a four-month investigation by the Bucks County Detectives into Micucci’s Bristol Borough-based business, Advanced Public Adjusters.
The probe began in January after a Warminster Township resident reported that Micucci failed to pay contractors for repairs needed after a tree fell on their home during a 2025 storm, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Detectives said they uncovered a pattern of behavior spanning from January 2024 through early 2026.
According to investigators, Micucci’s firm represented clients in claims against major insurers such as Allstate, Travelers, Progressive, and State Farm.
Authorities allege Micucci used a legal notice to ensure all insurance checks were mailed directly to his business address.
While Micucci reportedly told authorities the funds were held in a business savings account used as an “escrow account,” investigators found the money was not properly distributed, they said.
The investigation identified nine victims across Bristol, Bensalem, Levittown, Newtown, Doylestown, Philadelphia, and Warrington.
The Warminster Township homeowner is reportedly owed more than $30,000 for tree removal services, and Micucci allegedly stopped answering calls from the homeowner in September 2025.
A Newtown Township resident seeking reimbursement for a flood claim received no funds and was forced to pay $25,000 out of pocket, detectives said.
According to court papers, A Doylestown woman acting as an estate executor paid $35,000 of her own money for repairs in Lower Makefield Township after insurance checks totaling that amount were never turned over.
A Levittown resident received a check for $13,242.36 from Micucci that was returned for insufficient funds, detectives said.

According to court documents, Micucci admitted to detectives in March 2026 that he had not properly handled the claims.
“Homeowners trust public adjusters to protect them after a disaster, not to exploit them for personal gain,” Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan said in a statement. “To divert insurance proceeds intended for repairs, especially from our senior residents, is a betrayal of professional responsibility that our office will not tolerate.”
Micucci was preliminarily arraigned Wednesday before District Judge David Chichilitti. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
The district attorney’s office is asking anyone else who believes they may have been a victim of Micucci or Advanced Public Adjusters to contact Detective John Agnew at 215-348-6344.
The case is the second one involving a Bucks County public adjuster in a month.
In March, Michael Joseph Breitenbach, 53, of Bensalem Township, was arrested for allegedly misappropriating more than $82,000 from clients.
