There are drive-thrus for food and coffee, and now there is one for Girl Scout cookies.
This weekend, 15 Newtown-area Girl Scout Troops will team up to run a “super booth” cookie sale drive-thru Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The large cookie drive-thru will be held in the parking lot of Rothman Institute at 2700 Eagle Road in Newtown.
Our young cookie entrepreneurs reinvest that money into troop activities and projects that make their communities and our world a better place. There is no other program that allows girls to gain such valuable experience and understanding of how they can transform their world, all while having fun and engaging in the excitement of the cookie season,” Anna Maria Chávez, CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA, said in a statement.
The local troops participating are part of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.
