The Newtown Historical Association will be hosting an event on the “man who built Newtown.”
On Monday February 15, the Newtown Historic Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Half-Moon Inn at 105 Court Street in Newtown. The free event is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
Jeffrey Marshall, president of the Heritage Conservancy, will speak about Garrett B. Girton, a builder credited with helping develop Newtown. Marshal is well-versed in local history and wrote the popular book titled “Bucks County Barns.”
