Award For Bucks County Teacher Of The Year Contest Increases


ITY83da9654-8fd6-4c05-921d-a8baa0e03f49With over 15,000 votes in and a week left of voting, Inspire Federal Credit Union of Bristol Township has increased the award for the 2016 Bucks County Teacher of the Year.

The winner of the contest will instead be receiving $2,500 and $1,000 donated to their school. The first two runners-up will receive $1,000 and $500 donated to their school, according to a recent press release.

“Teachers in our community shape the minds of and positively influence our children. the teachers that were nominated for our Teacher of the Year contest have made such an impact on students, parents or fellow teachers that someone went out of their way to nominated them for Teacher of the Year,” said Jim Merrill, President/CEO with Inspire FCU. “We’re happy to be able to increase the prizes and excited to recognize these teachers at our upcoming annual meeting in spring.”

Inspire FCU noted that more than 250 local teachers have already been nominated for the award.
