Man Bloodied After Fight At Sycamore Street Eatery

IMG_4381 police lightsNewtown Township patrol officers responded to a fight call Friday evening and found a bloodied man outside a pizza shop.

The man – identified as 24-year-old James Borda of Yardley – was found around 8:45 p.m. outside Newtown Pizza on North Sycamore Street with blood on his arms and clothes, police said.

During the course of the investigation, Borda was administered a portable breath test, which “confirmed the presence of alcohol,” police said.

The owner of the pizza eatery said four males were fighting inside the dining room, so he kicked them out. He identified Borda as one of the men who was engaged in the fight, according to police.

Borda refused medical attention and will be cited for disorderly conduct and public intoxication, police said.

Authorities did not release the status of the other subjects involved.
