A Newtown shop will be presenting a art show starting this Friday.
The Countryside Gallery and Custom Frame Design on State Street will be presenting their 2016 Spring Show featuring resident oil painters Rita Flack and Patricia Dooley.
More on the artists:
Resident landscape & still life painter and Temple University graduate Rita Flack grew up among the farms and fields of Bucks County and has spent most of her adult life locally raising a family and working in the horticultural field. Rita’s passion for the land and memories of the old ways springs from this climate. Her feelings for Bucks County, through the various seasons and times of the day, are inspiration for her artistic work. As an artist, Rita’s goal is to stimulate others who share in these same passions
Resident oil painter Patricia Dooley was a NYC resident until her transplant to Bucks County a decade ago. Pat’s paintings are a softer, blended version of Impressionism, oils thinly applied in transparent layers, building up to a depth of color and shape infused with her lightness of touch. Focusing on portrait, landscapes and still life, her floral studies bring year-round touches of color to her collectors’ walls. Pat’s paintings are joyfully and thoughtfully rendered, with subject matter that is always a treat for the eye. The historical buildings, reflective coastlines, & the area’s farms and waterways continue to inspire her.
