Forecasters have issued a hazardous weather advisory in advance of storms expected to move in Sunday afternoon and evening.
According to the National Weather Service advisory, possible thunderstorms could bring damaging winds and heavy rains to Bucks County. Flooding in areas with poor drainage could be an issue throughout the day.
“As with any thunderstorms, lightning is a concern. When thunder roars go indoors,” forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Mt. Holly, New Jersey.
Today: A slight chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 9 a.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, then a chance of showers between midnight and 2 a.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 66. West wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
