The public is invited to celebrate the Independence Day holiday at Washington Crossing Park.
The daytime celebration, which begins at noon, will even be completed with fireworks – the first pyrotechnic display in the park in more than 20 years.
From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., attendees can watch living historians demonstrate crafts, tour historic buildings and even see a military encampment. The Declaration of Independence will also be read at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.
Admission for the rain or shine event is $8 for adults and $4 for children aged 5-11. Children under 5 are free. All proceeds support educational and historical programming in the park. The firework display is free.
