Newtown Man Arrested For Allegedly Crashing Into Utility Pole

A local man was arrested Saturday after an alleged drunk driving incident in Newtown.

According to local authorities, on Saturday, June 18, at approximately 6:50 p.m., police responded to the area of Marigold Drive for reports that a vehicle had crashed into a utility pole.

The vehicle’s driver was identified by authorities as Vadim Buryakovsky, 30, of Newtown. Buryakovsky was given filed sobriety tests and placed under arrest at the scene for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Charges aganist Buryakovsky are pending the results of lab reports, according to police documents.
