The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors is now accepting resumes for those interested in being appointed to the board.
The township acquired the vacancy after Mike Gallagher resigned from his post after taking position as the new Bucks County Controller. He was sworn in to the past last week.
The person appointed to the board will serve as a member until the reorganization meeting in January 2018.
Those interested in the position must submit a letter of interest and resume by 4 p.m. on August 12, as well as be a current resident of the township and be at least 18 years old. The board is set to interview candidates at the public meetings scheduled to occur on August 15, August 17 and August 22, 2016.
