Republican Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick is resting at home after a weekend surgery.

The congressman, a resident of Middletown’s Levittown section, went in for the procedure and has been released from the hospital. He was released and was with his family Monday afternoon, said Pat Long, Fitzpatrick’s spokesperson.

“He’s doing well and recovering,” Long said.

Details on Fitzpatrick’s health and the reason for the procedure were not released on Monday. Long said more information would likely be released Tuesday.
