Students in grades six through eight received a special lesson on the political process in America.
A bus from the Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network (C-SPAN) visited the Newtown Friends School in Middletown Thursday and was opened for students. The bus features various displays and interactive presentations put together by the nonpartisan network that is funded by subscriber fees from cable customers.
Students from the private school had the chance to explore the bus and take part in lessons related to the political process.
The C-SPAN bus is currently on a tour of battleground states leading up to Tuesday’s election.
