Preparations were underway Friday morning in advance of Vice President Joe Biden’s planned Saturday visit to Snyder-Girotti Elementary School in Bristol Borough.
Biden’s visit to the elementary school on Beaver Street to stump for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is set to start with a speech to a friendly crowd at 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Doors for the event open at 1:45 p.m.
The vice president and his wife Dr. Jill Biden, according to the campaign, will “lay out his support for Clinton and her vision of an America that is stronger together, with an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.”
Tickets for the rally appeared to still be available as of Friday morning.
Bristol is a Democratic stronghold in the lower end of Bucks County and has already received brief stops from Biden and former president Bill Clinton.
Before stopping in Bristol, the vice president will headline a Clinton rally in Pittsburgh at noon.
Less than two hours after the Bristol stop, Hillary Clinton will attend an evening rally with pop star Katy Perry at the Mann Center in Philadelphia.
Biden last visited the Levittown area in early October to campaign for Clinton.
In recent weeks, Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine has campaigned in the area. In addition, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Mike Pence, his running mate, have made stops to Bucks County.
