The remains of a woman found at Tyler State Park last week have been identified as those of Lindsey Piccone.

The Bucks County Courier Times cited Pennsylvania State Police in their report that stated Piccone, who had been missing since early September, was positively identified through a dental records match. The newspaper also reported the cause of the 21-year-old Bensalem woman’s death remained under investigation.

State police and the Bucks County Coroner were not immediately available for comment.

Authorities said Piccone’s skeletal remains were discovered on a hill not too far off a walking trail in the Northampton portion of the state park. Piccone’s body was discovered by state park employees clearing grass and brush.

Trained searchers on foot, volunteer searchers, police helicopters, a dive team and search dogs all have taken part in the search since September. The most recent search took place in mid-October and turned up no leads.

According to her obituary, Piccone worked at the Magic Cottage School in Levittown and put her family and friends first.

A memorial service for the 21 year old will be held Thursday morning.
