State Rep. Perry Warren was sworn into office to represent the 31st Legislative District Tuesday.

Warren took the oath of office in the state capitol building in Harrisburg along with his colleagues in the biannual tradition.

“I am excited for the opportunity to serve my community and district as its state representative,” Warren said. “I look forward to representing my constituents in Harrisburg while continuing to learn more about the people who call our region home.”

Some of the goals Warren hopes tackle are opioid addiction, increasing education funding, promoting civil rights and supporting sensible gun safety laws, the freshman state legislator said.

The Democrat from Newtown Borough is taking the seat after former State Rep. Steve Santarsiero opted not to run again for the office and launched a failed bid for congress.

Warren’s new office is located at 91 South Main Street in Yardley and will offer constituent services at the Morrisville Borough Hall on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from noon to 4 p.m.

“My doors always will be open, and I invite your questions, concerns and comments every step along the way,” Warren said.

The phone number for Warren’s office is 215-493-5420. Warren’s website is pahouse.com/warren and his legislative social media accounts can be found on Facebook and Twitter.
