Rite Aid is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the robbery suspect, police said Wednesday morning.

Original Story:

Another armed robbery has occurred in Newtown Township.

Police said the Rite Aid on Ice Cream Alley was hit by a man who indicated he had a weapon but did not display one  around 5:34 a.m. Monday.

The man walked into the store and immediately went to a clerk to demand cash, which they turned over to him, police said.

The suspect kept his hands in his pockets during the robbery and fled on foot across Sycamore Street, police said.

Officers and a K-9 unit from Middletown rushed to the area and searched for the suspect with no luck.

Police describe the suspect as an approximately 6-foot-tall white male in his 20s and of thin build. He was wearing a black nylon hoodie, dark knit ski mask, gloves, dark sweat pants and white sneakers.

Last week, the 7-Eleven on Sycamore Street was robbed early in the morning. It was not clear if the two cases are connected.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to fill out this form on the police department’s page.
