The 7-Eleven on South Sycamore Street in Newtown Township was hit by an armed robber Thursday morning.

Police said the suspect walked into the convenience store around 2:25 a.m. brandishing a handgun. They went directly to the sole employee in the store and demanded cash from both registers.

The clerk complied with the robber and turned over cash, police said. The exact amount of money taken was not released.

The suspect fled of foot towards Richboro Road, police said.

The robbery was over in less than a minute.

A K-9 unit from Lower Makefield assisted township police but did not lead to the suspect.

Police describe the suspect as a white male with blue eyes in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, ski mask, work type gloves, navy blue pants with a white stripe and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to fill out this form on the police department’s page.
