Earth Day Celebration Set For Saturday, April 29

An Earth Day celebration is set to take place in Middletown Saturday, April 29.

The 12th annual celebration, set to be held in Core Creek Park near the dog park in Middletown, is being hosted by a number of local municipalities and is being sponsored by TD Bank and Trash Daddy. The hosting municipalities include Falls Township, Hulmeville, Middletown, Newtown Township and Upper Makefield. Bucks County Parks and Recreation is also playing a large role in hosting the celebration.

The event will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Activities and entertainment throughout the day include family friendly performers, 101.1 More FM playing music and offering giveaways and a magic show, organizers said.

They also said that a number of Environmental Advisory Councils, or EACs, will be present giving away plants and seeds. Attendees will also be able to receive a free sapling from Brightview.

Other scheduled events include a celebration of World Tai Chi Day from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Middletown will be leading a “Walk with Ease” event at noon and an Arbor Day Erosion walk from 9 until 10:30 a.m.
