A Bucks County-based financial institution is merging with a Montgomery County bank that has a single location.
Penn Community Bank, which has branches throughout Bucks County, announced this week it was merging with Abington-based Chelten Hills Savings Bank, a small organization with a single location inside a former residence.
Chelten Hills Savings Bank’s addition to the Penn Community Bank organization will bring customers “expanded financial services and convenience.”
“We are excited to bring our full range of financial products and friendly service to the Abington area,” said Jeane Coyle, president and CEO of Penn Community Bank.
Chelten Hills Savings Bank has two full-time employees and both will be offered jobs with Penn Community Bank, which is based in Buckingham.
Penn Community Bank has 23 current branches and formed in 2015 when First Savings Bank of Perkasie and First Federal of Bucks County merged.
