The executive director of the Bucks County Planning Commission has retired after 18 years in her post.
Lynn Bush retired last week after a career working to save open space in Bucks County, paving the path for greenway trails that will benefit local residents for decades and assisting in the revitalization of towns throughout the county. She also served a chief clerk for the Bucks County Commissioners.
The commissioners thanked Bush last week for her service to the county.
Commissioner Charley Martin recalled when he and former Commissioner Mike Fitzpatrick went across the street from the administrative offices to the Bucks County Bar Association in Doylestown and hired Bush to lead the Planning Commission.
“Sometimes thank you is not enough,” said county COO Brian Hessenthaler. “You have been great to work with.”
The commissioners named June 7 “Lynn Bush Day.”
Bush was the third director of the Bucks County Planning Commission and her replacement has yet be named.
