Grange Fair 2017: Thursday Is First Chicken Dinner

After a near-perfect start to the Middletown Grange Fair Wednesday, the festivities are expected to continue in Wrightstown Thursday.

The Grange Fair opens to the public at 10 a.m. and will remain open until 10 p.m. at night. The day’s festivities include a variety of entertainment, agricultural displays and demonstrations. Rides from Skelly’s Amusements will be at the fairgrounds and open from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.

The always popular chicken dinner will be offered starting Thursday evening. Tickets for the meal cost $10 and go on sale at 3:30 p.m. A child size meal can also be purchased for $10.

The cost per a carload to enter the Grange Fair is $10.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service are calling for a daytime high near 85 degrees and clear skies. By evening, a threat of thunderstorms continues through the overnight with a high around 74 degrees.
