Pennsylvania State Police plan to hold a sobriety checkpoint this weekend.
Troopers said the checkpoint will be held at an unreleased location in Lower Bucks County from 11 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday.
At the checkpoint, law enforcement will stop vehicles briefly to observe drivers for behaviors normally associated with drug or alcohol impairment. State police plan to use the checkpoint to curb the number of DUI-related crashes and incidents.
The location of state police checkpoints is almost never released to media or area residents ahead of time.
