George Washington let them eat cake.
Reenactor John Godzieba donned the Washington garb Sunday afternoon at Washington Crossing Historic Park in Upper Makefield to celebrate the nation’s first president’s 286th birthday.
In addition to a cake that was sliced by Washington’s sword, the grounds of the park were open and demonstrations were held to teach visitors about the Revolutionary War period.
