Sportswear retailer J. McLaughlin opened their latest store in Newtown Borough.

The 1,200-square-foot store at 200 South State Street opened over the weekend with festivities that benefited Bucks County-based charity A Love For Life, which fights pancreatic cancer.

J. McLaughlin sells “classic clothes with current relevance” and is known for its locally-flavored, higher-end retail locations with clothing and accessories for men and women.

The store is located in a Georgian fieldstone and clapboard house at the Steeple View complex.

J. McLaughlin was founded in 1977 by brothers Jay and Kevin McLaughlin. Recently, the retailer has expanded its footprint and opened stores in Alexandria, Virginia, New Orleans, and Dairen, Connecticut.
