Police told the public a report of an abduction was unfounded once they investigated.
In a statement, Newtown Township police said they were called Thursday to the Newtown Grant Recreation Center off Eagle Road for a report that someone was forced into a vehicle that then left the area around 11:50 a.m. A caller and witnesses reported the description of the vehicle and its plate number.
Investigators were able to locate all of those involved in the incident and determined there was not abduction that took place, police said.
