Work is underway at the Village of Newtown shopping center in preparation for a new crab cake shop.
Bobby Chez Famous Crab Cakes is being placed at the former Factory Donuts location in the Newtown Township shopping center. The location will be for takeout and to-go service.
The business has leased a roughly 1,000-square-foot storefront, which will be the company’s fifth location. The other locations are in New Jersey.
Bobby Chez Famous Crab Cakes are made fresh daily at the company’s New Jersey scratch kitchen.
The business is known for their crab cakes, various seafood offerings, and dinner entrees for sale.
Bobby Sliwowski and his mother ran a popular French restaurant, Chez Robert, in Westmont, New Jersey for 20 years. In 1997, the Bobby Chez Famous Crab Cakes store opened in Voorhees, New Jersey.
The Village of Newtown shopping center has undergone a complete overhaul in recent years and added several new restaurants.
