The Upper Makefield Township Police Department released a report Tuesday on the most dangerous intersections within the township.

According to the report released on their Facebook page, a total of 123 accidents were investigated in the township in 2022, excluding vehicle vs. deer crashes. Of those accidents, the most occurred at three specific intersections: General Washington Memorial Boulevard (Route 532) and River Road (Route 32), Windy Bush Road and Street Road, and Taylorsville Road and Mt. Eyre Road.

The intersection of Route 532 and River Road had the highest number of crashes, with a total of 11 wrecks reported. Windy Bush Road and Street Road followed closely with 10 crashes, while Taylorsville Road and Mt. Eyre Road had seven crashes.

The report also stated that these three intersections accounted for 23 percent of all accidents investigated in the township.

All three intersections are controlled by stop signs, with Route 532 and River Road having a four-way stop and the other two intersections having a two-way stop, according to police.
