March 7

Drug Arrest

At approximately 3:25 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford van operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Campus Drive. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence.  The operator of the vehicle and a passenger were arrested and charges are pending.

DUI

At approximately 10:27 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Silverado operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Buck Road and West Village Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

March 14

Drug Arrest

At approximately 9:58 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Newtown Gate Drive. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence.  The operator of the vehicle and a passenger, who had open warrants, were arrested and charges are pending.
