Newtown Township has hired a contractor to complete its 2024 road repaving program.

The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors voted last month to hire contractor James D. Morrissey Inc. to complete 1.99 miles of roadway repaving this year for $744,507.05.

The township plans to mill and repave a portion of Eagle Road and Farnsworth Way, Ashford Way, North and South Ascott Court, Amaryllis Lane, Lotus Place, Campus Drive, Cypress Place, Coachwood Court, Mulberry Place, Monterey Place, and Mahogany Walk

The township had considered several additional roads, but the budget means those roads will have to wait until future years.
