December 20
DUI
At approximately 12:45 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Kia Optima operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Swamp Road and Twining Bridge Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
DUI
At approximately 1:15 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford pick-up truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Municipal Drive and Durham Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
DUI Crash
At approximately 6:45 p.m., police were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic accident into a utility pole. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator refused to submit blood for chemical testing, and charges are pending.
December 23
Burglary
As a result of an investigation, criminal complaints were filed for two male subjects in connection to a commercial burglary that occurred in Wrightstown Township on November 14, 2024.
Fraud
A Wrightstown Township resident contacted police at 1:35 p.m. to report a fraud involving false pretenses. The incident was referred to the detective division for further investigation.
December 24
DUI
At approximately 12:45 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Avalanche operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Alexanders Court and Windy Bush Road in Wrightstown Township. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
December 26
Retail Theft
Police were dispatched to Lululemon around 1:30 pm for the report of a retail theft. The total value of loss was approximately $2,000, and the investigation is ongoing.
DUI
At approximately 9:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic accident in the area of Wrights Road in Wrightstown Township. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
December 28
Drug Arrest
At approximately 1:10 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on an Acura sedan operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Durham and Durham Roads. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the vehicle, and suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.

Retail Theft
Police were dispatched to McCaffrey’s Food Markets at approximately 4:45 p.m. for the report of a retail theft not in progress. The total value of loss was less than $150. As a result of the investigation, one male subject was cited for retail theft.
January 1
Retail Theft
Police were dispatched to Ulta Beauty at 12:30 p.m. for the report of a retail theft that occurred on December 24, 2024. The total value of loss was over $750, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
DUI
At approximately 10 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge pick-up truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Swamp Road and Twining Bridge Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
January 2
Arrest
At approximately 1:15 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Summit Trace Road. As a result of the investigation, the operator was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Stroudsburg Sheriff’s Department and transferred without incident.
January 3
Theft
Police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence around 6:15 p.m. for the report of packages stolen from the front porch. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
January 6
Fraud
A Wrightstown Township business contacted police shortly after noon to report a fraud. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
January 8
Retail Theft
Police were dispatched to McCaffrey’s Food Markets at 3:25 p.m. for the report of a retail theft, not in progress. It was reported that the theft occurred on January 4 and involved two female subjects. The total value of loss was $382.43.
January 9
Fraud
At 4:45 p.m., a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report a fraud involving large transfers from their bank account. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
DUI
At approximately 8:40 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep Grand Cherokee operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Burns Lane and Merion Drive. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
