Police Log: Wanted Man Arrested, Assault & More

March 7

Arrest

At approximately 8:30 p.m., police were investigating the report of a disabled auto in the area of North Sycamore Street.  Upon contact with the occupants, it was learned that the passenger was wanted by Norristown Police Department.  The male was taken into custody, processed, and transferred to the custody of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

March 9

Assault

At 12:50 a.m., police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival and investigation, one person was placed under arrest and charged with assault.

March 13

Arrest

At 10:20 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Newtown-Langhorne Road on a Ford Mustang for committing a vehicle code violation.  As a result of the investigation, the driver was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Northampton Township Police Department and transferred without incident.
