Pennsylvania State Police Troop M conducted a regional traffic enforcement detail Wednesday.
Troopers announced Thursday the results of a regional traffic enforcement detail conducted throughout Lehigh, Northampton, and Bucks counties.
Troopers issued 252 traffic citations and 92 warnings during the operation, state police said.
In addition, they also made two arrests for driving under the influence, one arrest of a driver with an outstanding warrant, and four additional criminal arrests, state police said.
The operation’s objective was to increase highway safety through aggressive and visible enforcement, officials said.
State police also reminded motorists of the law that deals with drivers who flee or attempts to elude law enforcement who is pursuing them. The offense can be graded up to a felony of the third degree, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison, a $15,000 fine, and restitution for damages or injuries resulting from the pursuit.
