A Doylestown man will be cited following a hit-and-run crash on the Washington Crossing Toll-Supported Bridge last month.

The crash, which occurred on the span connecting Upper Makefield Township with Mercer County, New Jersey, happened at 7:56 a.m. on March 25.

According to a Pennsylvania State Police press release issued recently, a 46-year-old Doylestown man was driving a 2012 Toyota Rav4 from New Jersey into Pennsylvania when it struck the side of a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder that was crossing the bridge in the opposite direction into New Jersey.

The operator of the Toyota did not stop after the crash and continued into Bucks County, state police said.

A trooper investigating the crash reviewed video footage which captured the incident and provided the license plate number of the striking vehicle, state police said.

Troopers said they were able to locate the owner in Doylestown.

State police said the Doylestown man is being cited in connection with the crash.

No injuries were reported.
