A man pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and a suite of related charges for the 2024 killing of his 82-year-old mother inside their condominium.
William Michael Ingram, 51, entered the plea Monday before Bucks County Court of Common Pleas Judge Stephen Corr in connection with the death of Dolores Ingram. In addition to the murder charge, Ingram pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and abuse of a corpse, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, possession of an instrument of crime and criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, cruelty to animals, multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance, and possession with intent to deliver.
Under the terms of a negotiated plea agreement, Ingram faces a prison term of 26 to 54 years for the murder and several other offenses.
Corr is able to add an additional 10 to 20 years to the sentence for drug-related crimes, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office
A formal sentencing hearing is scheduled for Feb. 18.
During the proceedings, Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc Furber detailed the June 15, 2024, discovery of Dolores Ingram’s body at the Beacon Hill Drive condo in the Holland section of Northampton Township.
Township police arrived at the residence to conduct a welfare check after a call from the Metropolitan Washington D.C. Police Department.
Northampton Township officers who forced entry into the locked condo discovered blood on a windowsill and scattered throughout the interior. The living room was found in a state of disarray.
Beneath a massive pile of furniture, household items, linens, and clothes, police located his mother’s lifeless body.
The search also uncovered a laundry bag containing six pounds of marijuana and a store bag containing $53,500 in cash and suspected Psilocybin mushrooms.
Investigators determined that after killing his mother, Ingram fled to Washington D.C., in her Honda Civic. He was apprehended in the nation’s capital that same morning for assaulting an officer and damaging a cruiser.
While in custody, Ingram confessed to D.C. police that he had killed his mother, authorities said.
Bucks County Detectives and Northampton Township investigators traveled to Washington D.C. as part of the investigation and reviewed hours of body-worn camera footage.
In one segment, William Ingram allegedly stated: “I killed my mom, did I tell you that, that’s what they are probably telling you … and I threw all this shit over her, I remember now, it comes back to me later.”

Ingram was also charged with killing two reptile/lizards in the condo, officials said.
