A star-studded, five-city concert series will tour Pennsylvania this spring to kick off the celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary, state officials announced.
The Commonwealth Concert Series, which is hosted by America250PA, is designed to commemorate the U.S. semiquincentennial and highlight Pennsylvania’s historical role in the country’s founding.
The tour will run from May 23 through June 27 and feature several headliners, including Nelly, Lady A, and The Avett Brothers.
The events are free to the public, which is funded through the 2025-2026 state budget.
“This concert series will bring together Pennsylvanians from all across the Commonwealth, giving them an opportunity to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday,” Gov. Josh Shapiro said. “I’m confident the Commonwealth is ready to put on a once-in-a-lifetime show.”
The series will stop in State College, Erie, Hershey, Wilkes-Barre, and Pittsburgh.
While admission to the concerts is free, attendees must obtain a ticket to enter.
• May 23 (State College): Cole Swindell headlining at the Bryce Jordan Center, with Gabby Barrett and the Benny Havens Military Band.
• June 6 (Erie): The Fray headlining at the Erie Insurance Arena, with First to Eleven.
• June 13 (Hershey): The Avett Brothers headlining at Hershey Park Stadium.
• June 20 (Wilkes-Barre): Lady A headlining at Kirby Park, with En Vogue.

Rick Siger, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, said millions of visitors are expected to enter the state for the semiquincentennial and other major events, including the FIFA World Cup.
“The Commonwealth Concert Series adds to this great lineup of events that will fuel Pennsylvania’s economy and strengthen our communities,” Siger said.
Organizers stated that additional supporting artists for the tour will be announced on a rolling basis.
