Police are looking to identify a man who allegedly pulled a gun during a road rage incident.

According to Upper Makefield police, a motorist was driving east on Stoneybrook Road when a newer-model, silver VW Jetta sped up and began to tailgate around 2:40 p.m. last Thursday.

The driver pulled over at Thrope Farm on Stoneybrook Road to let the VW driver pass. Instead, the driver of the VW pulled alongside and began yelling and allegedly “waved” a black and silver handgun, police said.

“The Jetta then sped away heading towards River Road. The Jetta then made a U-turn and drove past the other vehicle at a high rate of speed and was last seen heading west on Stoneybrook Road towards Brownsburg Road East and Eagle Road,” according to a statement from police.

Officers responded to the incident and were not able to locate the VW.

The suspect being sought by police was described as white male, 25 to 30 years old, larger build and sporting a black goatee. He was wearing a blue and white baseball hat and a light-colored T-shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Upper Makefield police at 215-968-3020.
