Bucks County has its new Grange Fair queen.

Sarah Liebel, a 4-H member from Bedminster, was crown Middletown Grange Fair Queen by 2016 Queen Jacquelyn Sherman of Wrightstown Wednesday morning as the festivities kicked off.

Liebel was awarded a custom tiara designed by specialist Andrea Petrille, who explained it was created to have a vintage antique corn motif.

Liebel will spend the next year representing the Grange Fair and local agriculture. Over the next week, she will be around the Grange Fair and meeting with visitors.

“Here’s to the Grange Fair!” she said after being crowned.

Also on Wednesday, Brian Bahnck of Ottsville was named Bucks County Conservation District Farmer of Year Award. He is a first-generation grain farmer who has been praised for his work on conservation-focused management at his 77-acre farm.
