A mosquito spray operation will take place in Thursday in Newtown and Wrightstown townships.
The ultra-low spray operation by the Bucks County Mosquito Control Program will hit the Grange fairgrounds on Penns Park Road in Wrightstown and the areas of Upper Silver Lake and Old Frost roads in Newtown Township.
Crews will use trucks and ATVs to spray Duet Dual-Action adulticide at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre.
County officials said the adulticide has a very low toxicity profile to animals and will have a “negligible” impact on insects that aren’t being targeted.
Weather conditions could cause the spray to be pushed back to Friday.
