Crews stocked three area waterways with trout Tuesday.
The trout were set free by state officials in Lake Luxembourg at Core Creek Park in Middletown, the Neshaminy Creek at Tyler State Park in Newtown Township, and in the Delaware Canal by Washington Crossing Historic Park in Upper Makefield.
The trout were brought from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission’s Huntsdale Hatchery in the central park of the state, said Andrew Desko, an educator with the state agency.
Trout season in the Philadelphia region began on March 31 and opens statewide on Saturday.
