Recently released statistics show Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate for September remained steady.
The statewide rate of 4.1 percent was unchanged from August and continued to be at the lowest level since July 2000, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Federal data for August puts Bucks County’s unemployment rate at 3.9 percent for August, not yet listing September data.
Over the past year, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, the statewide rate has dropped .7 percent.
Currently, 6,134,000 Pennsylvanians are employed.
The national unemployment rate for September was 3.7 percent.
Professional and business services and education and health services jobs rose the most across the state.
