Man Accused Of Indecently Assaulting Rideshare Driver

A Philadelphia man was charged earlier this month with allegedly indecently assaulting a rideshare driver.

A 25-year-old Philadelphia man was charged on March 1 with indecent assault and harassment. He was arraigned by District Judge Mick Petrucci and released on unsecured bail.

Around 3 a.m. on January 13, Upper Makefield police received a report from a Lyft driver that alleged the man offered him money to perform a sex act. The 25 year old then reached over and grabbed the male driver’s genitals after he was confronted by the driver, police said.

A search warrant was obtained for Lyft records and statements were gathered, police said.

Editor’s Note: All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The story was compiled using information from police and public court documents.
